Placeholder: a morning on the Sylhet hills

21 Sep 2026 1 min read

We left Sreemangal at five, head torches on, the tea gardens still black on either side of the road.

The first climb

By the time the sun came up we were eleven kilometres in and the temperature had already turned. This is the part of the course that decides the day.

  • Hydration at 8km, 16km and 24km
  • Cut-off at the 30km gate
  • A long descent to the finish

Nobody runs a first ultra alone. Somebody always pulls you through the middle hours.

Afterwards

We finished slower than planned and happier than expected. The next edition opens for entries soon.
